Gillian Marriott, a member of AWL and President of Pro Bono Law Alberta, was appointed Q.C. in 2010.

Jill Crockett, one of our Board of Directors, had a baby boy, Sam William Crockett, on October 17, 2009.
He weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and is 19 1/2 inches long. He is a healthy and happy baby. This is Jill's first.

Upon informing Leah Mwangi of the donation to KENVO (in Kenya) on behalf of AWL and Francine Swanson, our guest speaker at the Spring Celebration to support women's projects,
Leah sent us this note:
"Thanks so much mama Jamie for the support from your organization, you can be assured thet the money will be put into good use in supporting the rural women, we shall let you know how the money is spent. I wait for the communication from Roxanne. Pass my regards to Jamie."
(And by the way, to explain, Jamie Charlebois presented at an AWL Lunch & Learn, a slide show of his volunteer time in Kenya, and Roxanne is our Treasurer.)
